Notre Dame Seminary requests your assistance as they conduct a survey of the people of the Archdiocese of New Orleans to help identify the challenges that local parishes are facing so that they can ensure that the formation programs at Notre Dame Seminary are properly preparing priests and lay people to serve parishes. We would like to invite any boy in fourth grade or above to consider accepting the honor and privilege of becoming an Altar Server for St. Benilde Catholic Church. This is a very special way for parish youth to become more actively engaged in the sacred liturgy, as well as a tremendous privilege. All altar servers must be baptized and have already received their First Holy Communion. They must also be registered parishioners and be committed to their Catholic faith, attending Mass faithfully each Sunday.
After filling out the initial registration form (see attached), new servers will be trained by ministry coordinator Deacon Stephen Gordon.
